Five Christmas Events & Groups for Seniors & their Families in Victoria

Five Christmas Events & Groups for Seniors & their Families in Victoria.

The Holiday Season is upon us at the end of what can only be described as a very eventful and uncertain 2020. This year has tested our ability to stay connected as we locked ourselves away from a pandemic and pushed us to expand our support network to counteract the loneliness that comes with isolation. For one of our most vulnerable groups in our population who struggle with isolation on a normal day – our senior Australians – this year has been particularly hard.

However, if 2020 has taught us anything, it’s the importance of staying connected to our communities, family and friends. And that even in isolation, we can still be safe whilst staying connected to the world. At Well Placed Care we have embodied this philosophy through the work we do as aged care advocates and consultants. We consider every part of our client’s wellbeing as we support them in finding the right care option, which includes their mental, emotional, financial and physical state.

We believe that involving and connecting our elderly people to their community during Christmas (and any time of the year) is an important part of their emotional and mental wellbeing.

That’s why we’ve put together a list of exciting Christmas events that’s family friendly & catered for seniors. These include Christmas events happening in different locations across Victoria that your loved ones can enjoy with your family, as well as online events that are COVID-safe and can be enjoyed from the comfort of their own home.

We wish everyone, especially our senior community, a safe & happy festive season.

Please note: Any events marked with an asterisk like so – * – indicates that technological assistance may be required in order for your elderly loved one to attend the event.
